Notes: The Château Boulard was built by the architect Duc, at the request of Charles Boulart, whose wife was born Martha Darricau maid of honor of the Empress Eugenie. She could then participate in the social life of Biarritz when the Empress and her court had there. The Empress was so stays in the castle.
