Location: Vanxains, in the Dordogne departement of France (Aquitaine Region).

Notes: Château de la Brangelie is a French château located in the municipality of Vanxains in the Dordogne, in the Aquitaine region. The castle of Brangelie is located west of the Dordogne, 500 meters north-northwest of the town of Vanxains, near the intersection of county roads 43 and 708. This is private property. On a fortified base from the late fifteenth century have been added to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries two houses and outbuildings. During the French Revolution, in 1793, the lord of the Brangelie, Marquis of Vanxains, was kidnapped and strangled in the basement of the castle.
