Notes: Fort du Portalet is a high mountain (the Pyrenees), located in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the towns of Etsaut and Borce. Built on a cliff overlooking the Gave d'Aspe, he faces the path of Mâture and was responsible for protecting the road from Somport pass. It will serve as a place of detention for politicians under the Vichy regime and briefly after war, Marshal Petain. Became a historic monument, it is being restored and opened to visitors.
