Notes: Château d'Auzon is located in the town of Auzon in the department of Haute-Loire in France.Bernard d'Auzon, mentioned in 1078, is the first known lord of Auzon. St. Francis de Montmorin Herem fully acquires the lordship of Auzon to 1537. The September 22, 1589, during the Wars of Religion, the Leaguers Mr. Randan (Jean-Louis de La Rochefoucauld, Count de Randan) take the castle. The castle was partly demolished in the seventeenth century and sold as national property during the Revolution and almost completely destroyed.
