Notes: The castle of Clavières is a French castle located in Auvergne, in the commune of Ayrens, in the department of Cantal and administrative region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.The building is located in a magnificent park with a pond, a stream and plantations, you enter by a monumental gate. The ruins of the castle are surrounded by several pavilions and common. The whole is unfortunately in a state of abandonment.A fire destroyed this residence on May 25, 1936, leaving almost nothing but ruins. A more recent sale deprived Ayrens of the last vestiges of this castle of troubadour style. The unfortunate sale of the two entrance pavilions now prevents access to the beautiful park now abandoned. Before the creation of this neo-medieval composition, there was a castle of the thirteenth century which was destroyed in the sixteenth century.
