Castle Facts:

Location: Crêches-sur-Saône, in the Saône-et-Loire departement of France (Bourgogne Region).
Built: 12th century.
Condition: In good condition.
Ownership / Access: Private property. Not open to public.
Notes: Château de Chaintré is located north of Creches-sur-Saone on Chaintré town in Saône-et-Loire.Access to the courtyard through a gate flanked by two circular turrets. The castle consists of three buildings arranged in a U-South: a gatehouse, two buildings and two circular towers. In the center, the body of main building. To the north, a large square tower and stables which have been substituted another main building. We discover outside terraces decorated with carved statues and yew, an English park and a water feature. The castle, private property used as residence of standing, can not be visited.
