Castle Facts:

Location: Bourgvilain, in the Saône-et-Loire departement of France (Bourgogne Region).
Built: 13th century.
Condition: In good condition.
Ownership / Access: Privately owned.
Notes: Château de Corcelle Is located in the municipality of Bourgvilain in Saône-et-Loire, it was small shelf overlooking the valley Valouze.De various plans and elevations, castle buildings are arranged around a rectangular courtyard and are interconnected by curtain elements; they are girded on three sides of ditches partly filled. This quadrilateral is flanked by round towers on the corners NE and SW. Leaning on the eastern curtain, the main building is flanked on its east façade, overlooking the backyard, a small rectangular building body. A cart door semicircular accosted a pedestrian gate basket-handle gives access to the backyard. The castle is privately owned and not open to visitors. It is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since August 20, 1976.
