Location: Messey-sur-Grosne, in the Saône-et-Loire departement of France (Bourgogne Region).
Built: 15th century.
Condition: In good condition.
Ownership / Access: Privately owned. Not open to public.
Notes: Château de Messey-sur-Grosne is located in the town of Messey-sur-Grosne in Saône-et-Loire, in the village, bordering the small river gouty, tributary of the Grosne and opposite the village church. This small castle of the fifteenth century, built of brick, has not been restored. It still included in the eighteenth century, a rectangular enclosure between four laps. It remains a main building of two large square towers topped with high roofs pavilion. The larger of the two towers is pierced with elegant lattice windows. Some berries have retained wrought iron fences of the Middle Ages. Inside, remains a beautiful Gothic fireplace twin columns. Common wood-framed camera and a small round tower complete this. The castle is privately owned. The visit is not allowed. The Chateau de Messey the subject of a registration as a historic monument since December 9, 1946.
