Location: Mercurey and Saint-Martin-sous-Montaigu, in the Saône-et-Loire departement of France (Bourgogne Region).
Built: 950.
Condition: Ruins.
Ownership / Access: Private property and can only be visited with permission.
Notes: Château de Montaigu is a former castle, founded in the tenth century to 950, the remains of which stand in the town of Mercurey in the department of Saône-et-Loire in Burgundy. The castle was the center of the ducal lordship of Montaigu possession of the Dukes of Burgundy.
