Location: Marcilly-la-Gueurce, in the Saône-et-Loire departement of France (Bourgogne Region).
Built: First mention in 1340.

Ownership / Access: Privately owned and not open to public.
Notes: Château de Terzé is located in the town of Marcilly-la-Gueurce in Saône-et-Loire, on the slope of hill, on a small terrace, in the Ozolette Valley.The construction consists of a simple rectangular building devoid of ornamentation and covered with a high roof ridges. It is flanked on the northwest corner of a round tower, topped by a conical roof, which was hand colored in the nineteenth century, and on its northeast corner, a small pavilion. To the southwest, a square roof is pierced with a door and a window lintels ogee. South of the pavilion, connected to modern shared by a low wall that closes the courtyard lies a moat, partly transformed into laundry, and a walled garden whose northern corners are occupied by small squares dovecotes. The castle is privately owned and not open to visitors.
