Notes: Manor Limoëlou (sixteenth century) is located in the district of Rothéneuf, in the municipality of Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine). It is the unique legacy of Jacques Cartier, who discovered Canada in 1534 and opened in France on the North American continent by way of the St. Lawrence River. It is the subject of a registration as historical monuments since February 21, 1940. The mansion will be redeemed and in 1984, for the 450 years of the discovery of Canada, is transformed into Jacques Cartier museum. Most rooms have regained their old function. Exhibitions and various activities are organized inside the museum.
