Notes: Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire is located on the banks of the Loire, between Amboise and Blois, France. It is located on the last wild river in Europe, recently declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. He made the rankings of object as historical monuments by the 1840 list, as well as in 1937 and 1955.In the tenth century, Eudes I, Count of Blois, built a fortress to protect the city of Blois against the attacks of the counts of Anjou. The Norman knight Gelduin (or Hilduin) Chaumont receives and consolidates the fortress. His niece, Denise de Fougères or Pontlevoy, who married in 1039 Sulpice I of Amboise, the castle passed into the Amboise family for five centuries.
