Notes: Château du Moulin is located in the town of Lassay-sur-Croisne (Loir-et-Cher). It is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since January 6, 1926 and a ranking since April 27, 1927.Built between 1480 and 1501 for Philippe Moulin, childhood friend of King Charles VIII and ennobled by him, to whom he had saved Fornovo life during the battle in 1495. This stately home is the work of architect the court of Jacques Persigny. Built with orange and black bricks on a rectangular moated medieval castle of his appearance was yet more to mark the new rank of the owner to ensure a defensive function. The court was once fully enclosed and surrounded by high walls.
