Notes: Château de Bourguignon-lès-Conflans is a castle in Bourguignon-lès-Conflans, France. The castle dates from the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries. Its fortifications, its Renaissance and Gothic gallery fireplaces are remarkable. On the mantle of one of them reads "Do what you must, come what may." This castle belonged to the Dukes of Burgundy but it is now a private property. It is said that Charles the Bold stopped there in 1477 before being killed at the Battle of Nancy and Margaret of Burgundy was imprisoned there. In the nineteenth century it housed a girls' school run by a famous lace at a time. The building is registered as historical monuments in 1927.
