The castle is built in the eighteenth century by the ironmaster and farmer general Puton Georges (1679-1737). It has among others led the Royal Manufactory of Bains-les-Bains from 1733 to 1737. To date, the castle is not subject to any registration or classification as historical monuments. His name is mentioned on the IGN maps in 25: 000, northwest of the village. Other iron masters have built castles in the nineteenth century. We may mention for example the castle of La Chaudeau family of Buyer, in Haute-Saône in the south of Clerjus, and Castle Semouse family Pruines the town of Xertigny. All these castles were built during the most flourishing period of the forges of Vôge. The castle has a U-shape around a courtyard enclosed by a gate and a gate. The elevation has a ground floor and two floors.
