Notes: The castle of Folleville, located in the commune of Folleville, in the Somme, has had a turbulent history since the fourteenth century. Despite the destruction, there are still important vestiges. In the fourteenth century, we can not go back, in the absence of previous sources, to obtain traces of the presence of a castle in Folleville, traces witnessing the destruction of the feudal castle during the Jacquerie in 1358. The castle was taken in 1440 by the English captain John Talbot, who was armed with a field artillery which overcame the fortress. It was then bought by the Burgundians, who partially dismantled it in order to prevent the English who had become their enemies from using it as a base of withdrawal when they carried out exactions in the region.
