Notes: Château de Saint-Geniès is a French château located in the municipality of Saint-Geniès in the Dordogne, in the Aquitaine region. It was built in the thirteenth and sixteenth centuries. The castle of Saint-Genies is located in the Dordogne, south-east of the Dordogne in the heart of the village of Saint-Genies. This is private property, part of which was converted into a restaurant. The old castle was destroyed, the lords of Saint-Genies are built in the sixteenth century a new castle on the basis of buildings dating back to the thirteenth century. In the seventeenth century, a square tower containing a spiral staircase was added. The oval tower of the sixteenth century was enhanced in 1912 in order to add a walkway and battlements. The facades and roofs of the castle are classified as historical monuments by order of 16 March 1976.
