Notes: Château de Vaux-sur-Aine is located in the town of Azé in Saône-et-Loire, sidehill. Preceded east an open courtyard at the corner of which rises a circular tower, the castle consists of a rectangular building flanked on its eastern facade of a tower staircase square off work and on three of its edges, three other square towers of various sizes. On the ground floor, a bay is topped by a pointed arch. The access door to the stair tower, which seems to have been remodeled in the nineteenth century is arched and flanked by fluted pilasters of Tuscan order with a decorated entablature of triglyphs and drops. To the west, a terrace reign all along the front, between the two towers: it is served by a law degree. The chapel was situated to the north. The castle is privately owned and not open to visitors.
