Notes: Château des Rochers-Sévigné, Brittany former residence of Madame de Sevigne, is a Gothic mansion of the fifteenth century located near Vitré in Ille-et-Vilaine. After partial registrations in 1942 and 1944, the castle is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since 20 March 1995. The property still belongs to the distant descendants of Sevigne. One can visit the chapel and part of the mansion, where there are portraits of the family and a few objects that belonged to the Marquisen. Golf, restaurant and function rooms have been built on the property.
