City even before 1034, this complex is located in Aumelas, near Montpellier, in the department of Herault.The fortified group with the keep and chapel and the remains of ancillary constructions (cadastered A 311-313, 317-319) is the subject of a registration as a historic monument since June 19, 1986. The land of the area included in the double enclosure (Cadastre A 312, 313), the castle ruins, the church Notre-Dame (cadastered A 311-313, 317-319) are the subject of a classification as historical monuments since June 12, 1989.
