It is now in ruins but remains easily accessible.Castle was owned Montferrand and the seat of comptors Montferrand, having substantially the same power as the other barons of Gevaudan, and with an entry fee for individual states. The comptors were lords over the command of Saint-Germain-du-Teil.C'est in this castle that was born Amphélise Montferrand, also called probably wrongly Amphélise Sabran, mother of Pope Urban V.
