Notes: Château de Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne is an ancient castle mound in the eleventh century remodeled in the fifteenth century, the center of the Lordship of Châtillon and a capital of command of the Bresse (Châtillon-les-Dombes), which the remains stand in the town of Châtillon-sur-Chalaronne in the department of Ain, in region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The remains of the castle are the subject of a registration as historical monuments by order of 22 February 1927.In the early eleventh century, the castle is the possession of Hugues de Chatillon.
